CONTEMPORARY 1:1 MENTORSHIPS
The Artistic Path, Guided
Personal online guidance built on over a decade of teaching and industry experience, by Contemporary Paintings.
MENTOR
I’m Pau Marinello, a painter and art professor with over ten years of teaching experience at the Barcelona Academy of Art, universities, and international workshops like Quarantine Events. During this time, I’ve worked closely with artists at very different stages of their careers. From those just beginning to define their visual language to more established artists preparing portfolios, exhibitions, or professional opportunities.

Through years of teaching, one thing has become clear: most artists don’t lack talent or ideas.
What they often lack is structure, continuity, and informed feedback tailored specifically to their work.
Online mentorships focused on helping you move from intention to action.
Choose the format that best matches your goals, availability, and working rhythm.
How the Mentorship Works
Tailored to You
We always begin with an initial session dedicated to understanding:
- Where you are in your practice
- What you want to develop or resolve
- Your short-, mid-, and long- term goals
From this conversation, we design a clear follow-up plan that brings direction and consistency to your work.
Sessions are 45 minutes, held online, and can take place weekly or every two weeks, depending on your availability and the depth of work you want to develop.
FAQs
Is this like an art course?
No. There’s no formula, no copied assignments. Every session is tailored to your work, your questions, and your long-term goals.
What's addressed in the sessions?
Sessions address both the practical and reflective aspects of your artistic practice, focusing on the areas that most often hold people back, and where the right support can be truly transformative, such as:
- Studio practice and working habits
- Technical development and refinement
- Decision-making within your work
- Building a coherent visual language
- Conceptual clarity behind your choices
- Portfolio development and professional presentation
- Strategic guidance for opportunities and next steps
Who is this mentorship for?
Artists ready to develop both technique and creativity, whether you’re starting defining your style, building a series, or preparing professional opportunities.
Is prior training required?
No formal background is required, but participants should have basic experience and motivation to develop their visual language. The mentorship works best when there is some existing practice to build upon.
How does the application process work?
You submit a short application outlining your work and intentions. Applications are reviewed personally to ensure a good fit before scheduling sessions.
Do I need special materials or software?
No, just your device with internet. We’ll meet online via Google Meet, and joining is as simple as clicking the link. You’ll be able to share your work and get guidance immediately.
Can the mentorships be extended?
Yes, mentorships can be extended based on mutual agreement and program guidelines.
