This is acrylic on canvas board. This is based on an image of my friend's sibling who passed away when we were young. I wanted to capture their energy and life which contrasts the trauma of losing someone close at a young age. This gave me time to reflect on this event in my life. This is typically what I do as I paint, I use the time to think about different events in my life and work through them. I try to capture that emotion.
