I enjoy hiring multiple models who have never met and aim to capture the tension and awkwardness of their nude encounter. This tension fueled the undercurrent of the painting, which aimed at capturing the dichotomy between masculine and feminine.
I use a combination of loose, gestural applications of oil paint, contrasted with more calculative, thick marks. Dramatic cool and warm color accents aim to give my figures an honest and revealing quality.
